What is the Dean Forge Croft Eco Range?

A collection of classic British wood burning stoves first designed and manufactured in 1978. Today's models combine that timeless styling with modern EcoDesign performance — clean combustion, high efficiency and DEFRA exemption — spanning the compact Croft Junior Eco, the shallower Croft Slimline 5 Eco and the larger Croft 8 Eco.

Are Dean Forge Croft Eco stoves DEFRA exempt?

Yes — every model is approved for smoke-controlled areas across the UK. They're also EcoDesign compliant and clearSkies Level 5 certified, the scheme's highest rating.

Which Dean Forge Croft model is right for my room?

The Junior Eco (5kW) suits smaller rooms and compact fireplaces. The Slimline 5 Eco (5kW, 330mm deep) fits shallower openings. The 8 Eco (8kW) heats larger rooms and open-plan spaces.

Flat top or rolled top — what's the difference?

Only the look. The profile flat top gives a cleaner, more contemporary line; the rolled edge is the traditional silhouette. Dimensions differ slightly (the Junior is 460mm wide flat, 490mm rolled), so check against your fireplace opening.

Can a Dean Forge Croft burn smokeless fuel?

No — the Croft range is wood-only. For wood and solid fuel flexibility, look at the Woodbury Eco Range, which is multi-fuel across all models.

What flue does a Dean Forge Croft need?
