Hand-finished in authentic Bianca Carrara—quarried in the mountains outside the city of Carrara—this stone is prized for its cool white to blue-grey ground enlivened by natural grey veining, delivering a sophisticated fireplace surround with timeless appeal.

Celebrated since Roman times, Carrara is valued for its strength, fine grain, and ability to hold precise detail and a superb polish. Contemporary Bianca Carrara typically shows a gentle grey cast or delicate grey/near-black streaks that the polished surface accentuates beautifully across the Shoreditch profile.

Depending on the block and quarry face, two common selections are encountered:

• Carrara C: Cleaner white background with light grey veins or pin-dots for a uniform, elevated look.
• Carrara CD: Slightly deeper background with stronger grey to near-black veining for added movement and character.
