Open Fires
First of all lets take a look at open fires. For an open fire you need a chimney, if you do not have a chimney, then you’ve come to the right place as we have fitted many chimneys in many different houses throughout the south of England.

If you have a chimney, then this will have to be inspected and if it has not been used in a long time, a good clean may be required. Most wood burning and Multifuel stove installations require your chimney to be lined. This is a costly part of the installation but is vital for safety, stove performance and to prevent condensation issues.

Also check with your local council about the fuel you are planning to be burning. There are some areas are known as smokeless zones, which means you will need to burn a smokeless fuel.

We offer a free survey to people who wish to use ECOFIRES for their installation.
